About Ashley Lonsdale
Ashley Lonsdale’s interest in alternative healing modalities, in particular Advance Applied Kinesiology (AAK), was amplified by a health crisis where doctors informed her that she would most likely need her gallbladder removed. Having been exposed to alternative modalities of medicine before, Ashley’s intuition whispered that surgery was not the appropriate answer. She sought something different and eventually found her pathway to deep and lasting healing and then to her certification in Advanced Applied Kinesiology with an emphasis on nervous system atunement and the trauma pathology of disease.
Ashley worked intimately with a life coach named Candace Brown that specialized in AAK and German New Medicine (GNM). Over the course of several years and with in-depth shadow work, exploration and curiosity, Ashley was able to find meaningful healing through the synthesis of approaching healing from a space of the mind, body and spirit. This healing was so incredibly impactful that it changed Ashley’s health and wellness trajectory so drastically. From a space of wanting to share this knowledge with others and to help others also find meaningful healing, Ashley started to contemplate an alternative career pathway. Candace was such a source of inspiration that Ashley worked under her mentor to achieve certification in AAK.
Prior to working in AAK and other healing modalities, Ashley spent thirty years as an elite level Rhythmic Gymnastics coach where she nurtured, trained and mentored many of Canada’s top ranked athletes in this discipline. Having this unique background informs Ashley’s knowledge of body- mechanics, flexibility, conditioning, and the fascial network- giving her a unique position in the healing world. Ashley’s many years as a gymnastics coach has given her a unique perspective on the psychology of performance and how the nervous system works to achieve results within the body. Ashley has worked to transform hundreds of young women into their competitive best and, although this was incredibly rewarding work, she started to feel that this training to could translate into something deeper, to an aspect of life beyond the competitive sport model.
Ashley’s hard work and dedication to her athletes led her to produce many Provincial, Regional and National Champions; and to career highlights such as leading the Bronze Medal Canadian Team at the 2017 Junior Pan Ams. However, after many rewarding years as a competitive RG Coach, Ashley retired to answer the call to step fully into her work as a healer.
The foundation for Ashley’s healing journey has its roots in her early years with her parents and sister- born and partially raised in Los Angeles. After parting ways with the 3HO organization just before her birth, Ashley’s new age parents immersed Ashley and her sister in vegetarianism, meditation, kundalini yoga and sikhism. Ashley feels incredibly fortunate to have been gifted this alt style early upbringing, near the ocean, which laid a foundation for her curiosity to explore beyond the boundaries of our western offerings.
Ashley has adapted and maintained a grounded approach to these aspects of her upbringing. in particular, her relationship to Kundalini yoga. Kundalini has played a central role in Ashley’s own healing journey and is a powerful practice for connecting with the mind, body and spirit. Ashley enjoys teaching Kundalini classes across Vancouver’s North Shore and introducing this unique modality of energetic technology to a broader audience.
Today, Ashley continues to study healing and spirituality wherever it finds her and is grateful to step fully into her calling as a healer practitioner.
